Catapult challenge!!!

The things that I used to make my catapult were: 8 Popsicle sticks, 4 Rubber bands, 1 spoon and a computer with a tutorial playing on it.

To make my catapult I worked with Bella and Melissa, it was really fun because we were all friends and worked really well together.

The most challenging part was putting the rubber bands around the sticks and the spoon because the rubber bands kept snapping and it was also really hard to get the popsicle sticks in the right space of the catapult.

Our best results were how high it went because we tried every way and highest was the category that worked the best for us! We didn't make it to the semi finale or the finale but we made it to the second round for highest.

Overall I think that it worked really well and this is a super fun activity to do at school with friends or even at home with your family.

This is us with the catapult we made!

Onomatopoeia!!

Here are my Onomatopoeia sentences. This week we had to do an Onomatopeia writing challenge, we got to make up our own sentences and describing words and then put them together. It was pretty tough and challenging for me because at first, I didn't know what to write. I think my sentences turned out really well and I worked really hard on them, It was fun to do and I got some help from my friends along the way!

Maths Mystery!!

This week for our class maths mystery I worked with Jessica. We did it on paper so there isn't a slide for me to show but it was really fun to do and there was quite a lot of mistakes and laughing. It didn't take that long to do when we worked together but when we first tried it by ourselves we didn't quite understand how to do it. In the end, our answer was Florance, We sort of made a little thing with other people that were at our table and if they needed help or if we needed help we would help each other.

Emoji!

This week I did the emoji challenge and created my own emoji. I think it turned out pretty well and it didn't really take that long to do. I made a monster that was scared and sad because he had lost a tooth, I haven't seen any type of monster or people losing a tooth so I just mixed my two ideas together. I really like the emoji I made and it turned out really good in my opinion. I rate my work a 9.5/10 because it's really good and I enjoyed making it.

Egg Carton Animals

Yesterday I did egg carton animals with my brother Shaun. First, we cut up the egg carton into different shapes and sizes and then figured out what we were going to do. After that, we got the paints and the newspaper and lay them all down on the floor and got to painting. we painted a snail, caterpillars, a bat (that didn't quite work out) and a purple ladybug which also didn't work out. It was really fun to do but it took quite a lot of work to get them all finished before the end of the day. My favourite was the snail because it turned out really well and it looks the best as well. It didn't take that long to tidy up but it was a lot of handwashing because I would go backwards and forwards from the couch to the paints and then to eat and back to the paints.

Offline Wednesday!!

Yesterday for offline Wednesday I just hung out with my family all day and did a few arts and crafts. We went online a little bit because we were playing online games but after that, I just painted little egg carton animals and at the start, my brother Shaun helped me as well. I had fun yesterday and it was a great day of painting!

Monkey mystery!

This week for our mystery challenge we had to find out who the monkey was that stole the keys. It was really fun for me to learn new maths times tables and division even Pluses, I loved doing this challenge and I hope we can have one next week for the people that won't be at school for that week like me. I enjoy these challenges and I really like finding out who the murderer was or the monkey that stole keys. I messed it up a little bit at the start and instead of crossing off all the females, I crossed off the males even though I knew it was the males that won. In the end, I got an answer of a mandrill monkey that was a male called Ash, he liked fruit, he was sociable and he was 92cm tall.

Design Toddler-Bikes

This week for my Chapter Challenge I did Design and made a quick commercial skit for Toddler Bikes. I had fun making it even though I had to drag my sister out of her bed to help me film it, in the end, she agreed to do it. I think that I made a Supernova because it took a lot of tries, Because I kept laughing and I kept forgetting my words, but in the end, I think it turned out pretty good.

Murder Mystery Challenge

This week for our Math Challenge was a Murder Mystery. We had to do different challenges to figure out who the murderer was and had to check off a list to disqualify people to know who to the murderer was. I rate this challenge a 7/10 because it was a little easy for me but at the same time, it was pretty hard. I loved doing this challenge because it was REALLY FUN and I enjoyed doing it.

Hair chalk

Yesterday I did some hair chalk that we brought a while ago before lockdown but just never used. The colours in the kit were Blue, Purple and a mix between Purple, Orange and Pink. Since my hair is a dark brown it didn't really work and it ripped out a couple of hairs but you could still see it a little bit. I took some photos to show you how it turned out and the kit that I used to make my hair coloured.
